Happy 15th Birthday Jason !!!!!!!

January 31st was Jason's Birthday - 15 years old. Wow. Where has the time gone? This year will mark so many firsts for Jason. He would probably be embarrassed if I told everything I would like to. He has recently shaved for the first time. He is now legally eligible to take Drivers Education and get his leaners permit to drive. He is a freshman in high school and doing superbly. He is in baseball athletics and over the weekend tried out for the freshman baseball team.
Where is the little boy that was bald for awhile? And then, he had the blondest hair. After awhile, his hair began to get darker until it became its' current color. When Jason was about 2 years old, Mike began to pitch baseballs to him. He could hit those baseballs a long way for a 2 year old. Over the years he has played baseball, soccer, football and basketball.
He has a great sense of humor. Much like Mike's sense of humor. To me, they are two peas in a pod. Jason even has the same ability to cock his right eyebrow up in the air as Mike does. On the back of his head, when his hair is shorter, his crown is in the same exact plact as Mike's and it swirls clockwise and then shoots straight across the back of his head to the left. Crazy.
Here is that smile that melts my heart. Ryan was my photographer.

Note the eyebrow just peeking below the hair on his forehead (boys don't have bangs, right?)

This was Jason's request for his birthday breakfast. Breakfast burritos. He refused the early morning picture.
For his birthday dinner, he requested steaks and baked potatoes. We got in a big rush to eat it and didn't take any pictures. Finally, I will have to get a picture taken of Jason with Mike and I. He is really growing up. Yesterday, when we went by my Mom and Step-Dad's it was amazing to realize that Jason is also taller than they are now. He was very helpful unloading some large boxes and carrying them in the house. It really takes a big burden off me to have him be physically tall enough and strong enough to help with things like that.
More pics soon and I will report back on baseball, driver education and the like.

Does Jason eat you out of house and home? Breakfast burritos and then steaks for supper. Sounds like that boy can eat. And so skinny, too. Looks like he had a great birthday.
Happy birthday, Jason!
