Halloween is Coming!!!

Aren't these the coolest pumpkins ever? Three years ago my friend Michelle invited us to her home to learn some Extreme Pumpkin Carving. She and Scott, and their twins Lily and Lauren taught my family about using some different techniques and tools rather than the traditional carving knife.
This was Jason's pumpkin - The Skull
Mike did this intricate Black Widow.
This one was Megan and Ryan's Bat. I helped them with this one since they were only 5 years old at the time.

Wow! Those are pretty awesome! Are you going to share the other techniques and tools for those of us with less than stellar pumpkin-carving skills?

LOVE the pumpkins. Wish I could do that, I have NO talent in pumpkin carving. What a lame mom!! LOL

Thanks for the comment. I have been a tad crazy here lately with the kids living with me. I told my friends that I finally feel like a mom, it was easy brezy with Kristopher but with two little ones plus a teenager, man I envy you all with more than one!! LOL Its hard work!! :)

The pumpkins look great!!! You have mastered the pumpkin carving, costume design and face painting!!! (I loved the twins pics before that school play) What will be next???? :) If you use Vaseline around the carved areas and on the inside of the pumpkin, your awesome designs will last much longer than normal. I learned that tip from Martha Stewart years ago. I may call you for pointers on the face painting next year.
