Happy 47th Birthday Mike!!
Today is Mike's 47th birthday. Here is the cake Megan and I made for him. I used the wrong kind of decorator icing to write with. The icing s p r e a d out and made FAT lettering. Megan artfully placed the red hots on the cake and the sprinkles too.
Here is the birthday boy himself. He had put on his most relaxing clothes after spending his birthday at the Alliace Air Show volunteering today with Jason. BTW - JASON won a $100 bill in a drawing at the Air Show. And then, to insult Mike on his birthday - the Dallas Cowboys lost their football game today. Terrible game. Terrible.

Jason took a video of Mike while we sang happy birthday to him in 4 different keys. LOL!

Hey, Mike! Doesn't look like you're too sure about this birthday thing, what with the singing and all. So sorry the Cowboys lost (on your birthday to boot) but glad that you didn't spit all over your cake or lose your teeth when you blew out the candles (wait, you're not THAT old, are you!). Happy Birthday Mike!!! How sweet that you make a cake instead of buying one. Sorry I have been kinda out of the loop lately. Trying very hard to change my attitude toward some really hard issues going on in my life. I did want to invite you and any one who reads your blog to come over to mine and check it out. I am doing a 40 day devotional based on the movie Fireproof. The name of the book is The Love Dare. The great thing about it is you dont have to have a troubled marriage to get a lot from it. Its amazing to me how the small things are lost in our marriages as time wears on us. Any way I hope you will stop by and participate:)
