Meet Sox
This is our dog Sox. She is an almost 10 year old Border Collie/Bernese Mountain Dog. She seems to have a mostly Border Collie look, but not so much the work ethic of a Border Collie.
My step-Brother J.D. and my Dad and StepMom owned her parents. Her father was Vick, the Bernese and her mother is Rosie, the Border Collie. The folks still have Rosie, but sadly, Vick is no longer with us.
Sox has been a really good dog. She is smart too. I often believe she understands the english language as she follows directions very well for me. Her annoying trait is barking when the doorbell rings. She has been wonderful with our kids. She is getting a bit gray around the muzzle now.

Dogs are good people. Our eight-year-old brought home a mutt he "found". It was a sad that when that same boy came back from the vet without her (the summer between his junior and senior years of college).
Dogs ARE good people! Ours is one of the best, we think. We used to have a Siberian Husky that lived almost to her 15th birthday, and a solid black Siamese cat that lived to be 16. It crushed us emotionally when they died. They were members of the family, ya know?
